Adeleke, Accord leaders adopt Tinubu as 2027 candidate

Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State and the national leadership of Accord have adopted President Bola Tinubu as the party’s candidate for the 2027 election.

According to a statement by Adeleke re-election campaign spokesman, Pelumi Olajengbesi, the governor and the party’s national leadership met on Saturday night in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, where they discussed extensively about issues confronting the party.

The leadership of the party said it is important that the Tinubu administration completes all the roads and infrastructure projects it has commenced such as the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road and the Sokoto-Badagry Highway.

Discussions about the August governorship election were also held with the party’s leadership warning against violence, intimidation, electoral manipulation and the use of security forces against members of Accord in Osun State.

Members of the party’s national leadership present at the meeting include the National Chairman, Maxwell Mgbudem; Deputy National Chairman, Maryam Sale; the National Secretary, Ajaja Abiola Adebukola; National Treasurer, Abdulazeez Oyeniyi Salaudeen; National Organising Secretary, Ibe  Thankgod; National Publicity Secretary, Omorogbe Joseph; among others.

Also in attendance were the party’s state’s chairmen from all over the country.
